Events
BACEE’s events include training courses, conferences and seminars dedicated to important issues of the banking industry in Central and Eastern Europe. Their goal is to help better understand risks represented by the banks of the region.
BACEE’s traditional Central and East European Bank and Country Risk Conference held twice a year, assesses macroeconomic situation in more than 20 countries of CEE (incl. Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan) and gives a complete overview of these countries’ banking sector. These events attract an increasing number of delegates and provide a good networking opportunity. In addition, since spring 2005, we have included into the program a 1-day seminar dealing with Turkey, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
Training courses, organised by BACEE for bank analysts, aim at better understanding of risks related to banks in the CEE region. Their curriculum includes quantitative and quantitative methods of bank analysis, case studies and extensive teamwork. The course ends with a "credit committee meeting" during which participants decide upon granting (or refusing) credit line to a bank from one of the CEE countries.
Since November 2004, BACEE has been co-operating with KPMG BME Academy and we jointly held special training courses on International Financial Reporting Standards and Basel-II.
BACEE also arranges conferences on different segments of banking in CEE (internet banking, SME finance, Structured Finance) and on the banking industry of selected countries (Russia/CIS banking conference).
In 2005 we launched a new type of event, BACEE’s Bank Analysis Masterclass, jointly organised with Credit Comments Ltd. (UK).
During the last few years, BACEE events attracted about 750 participants from more than 170 banks, representing over 40 countries.
