IFRS Training Course
The training course aims at offering a general overview of most IFRS standards. Besides the theoretical background the course offers several case-studies, numerical examples and group assignments designed specifically for financial institutions. This course is designed to provide an executive summary of IFRS and also an overview of the significant and most challenging features of the standards. It also ensures participants have a chance to utilize the standards as they would in everyday operations and to receive in-depth training in the practical aspect of the IFRS accounting system.
Trainers’ Biographies
Mr. Gábor Agócs, Partner
KPMG
Mr. Agócs is a chartered accountant with financial institution qualification both in Hungary and in the United Kingdom (ACCA). He is a senior audit manager working with several domestic and multinational companies. His client portfolio is comprised of large banks, financial institutions, production and trading companies. He has many years of training experience acquired abroad and in Hungary.
Ms. Judit Boros
Partner, KPMG
Ms. Boros is a certified Hungarian auditor. She is an audit expert of IFRS and Hungarian reports, her client portfolio mainly contains companies dealing with retail, production and financial leasing. Judit Boros was a member of the team of professionals that developed the National Accounting Standards, and the documents dealing with the methodology and teaching of IFRS. She has held IFRS courses internationally on numerous occasions, and is the leading lecturer on the subject at KPMG in Hungary.
Mr. Nick Frost
Director, KPMG
Mr. Frost is an English Chartered Accountant; he joined KPMG in the UK in 1992. He gained international experience working for the US and Finnish member firms of KPMG and joined the Budapest office as an Audit Director in October 2007. Besides audit, he also has thorough experience in Transaction Services. In the past seven years he focused on large groups, including Diageo and Unilever as his main clients. He has many years of training experience in IFRS.
Ms. Ivana Matovina
Director, KPMG Croatia, Advisory Services
Ms. Matovina is currently a Director in Professional Practice and Accounting Advisory services Department in KPMG Croatia. Prior to this, she was member of the Financial services audit department. Ivana is UK chartered accountant (ACCA) and Croatian Chartered Accountant. During her professional experience she has been auditing and advising a number of large Croatian and international financial institutions (banks, leasing companies, investment and pension funds, brokerage houses and other financial institutions) as well as a number of commercial companies and public sector institutions. Ivana is also one of the professional trainers conducting trainings (in Croatia and other CEE countries) to a number of clients (banks, commercial companies, public sector institutions, financial sector regulators), professional institutions (Croatian Chamber of Auditors, Croatian Association of banks and insurances) and internally within KPMG in Croatia and CEE region.
