Information and Risk Assessment Services

BACEE – all about banks in new Europe

BACEE is a unique source of information on Central and Eastern Europe. Our goal is to identify and assess risks in Central/Eastern Europe and help member banks to develop business in this specific environment.

With an exclusively focus on the CEE region, BACEE covers all the 27 countries of Central and Eastern Europe (including the new EU member countries, South Eastern Europe incl. former Yugoslavian republics, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Central Asia, the Caucasus) providing information on all CEE banks.

A large network of personal contacts in the member banks and other banks of Central and Eastern Europe, is an advantage that gives BACEE an insight view of the region.

By the request of its member banks, BACEE prepares bank reports that analyse CEE banks’ creditworthiness. Such reports may be used as a basic input or additional information in a bank’s counterparty risk management system, and are useful when granting or reviewing bilateral credit limits. Click here to see a sample BACEE bank report.

Member banks may turn to BACEE also for other practical information on banks in CEE, like name and co-ordinates of contact persons in different banks, ownership information, latest business figures, information on bond issues, syndications, eventual problems, etc. When receiving such requests, BACEE’s usual reaction time is between a few hours (basic information, personal contacts) and a few days, needed for the preparation of a full bank report.

BACEE also undertakes broader assignments, like analysis of separate segments of the banking market in a certain country, overview of legislative issues, research for investment targets, etc.

You may learn about BACEE’s experience and methodology of bank and country analysis directly during one of our events.
